Computation Institute The University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory established the Computation Institute in 2000 to address the most challenging problems arising in the use of strategic computation and communications. Its establishment was motivated by the tremendous opportunities inherent in new approaches to research based on the large-scale application of computation, data, and communications, and the strategic importance to the University and Argonne of developing the capabilities required to exploit those opportunities. http://www.ci.anl.gov Computation Institute TBA January 27, 2010| TBA http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/events/detail.php?id=710 January 27, 2010| TBA January 13, 2010| TBA http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/events/detail.php?id=734 January 13, 2010| TBA January 6, 2010| TBA http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/events/detail.php?id=708 January 6, 2010| A Computational Model of Airport Security Operations: A Dynamic Behavioral Approach December 10, 2009| Abstract: Governments and airlines around the world pay close attention to airport security as this still represents a central mechanism to deter the use of airplanes as weapons and to prevent harm to passengers, crews, and the general public in the http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/events/detail.php?id=730 December 10, 2009| Parallel scripting with Swift December 9, 2009| TBA http://www.ci.uchicago.edu/events/detail.php?id=707 December 9, 2009| Characterizing Economic Forecast Uncertainty with Ensemble Simulations and Large Scale Analysis in CIM-EARTH December 3, 2009| The Petascale Active Data Store (PADS) Fall Seminar Series is a forum for discussions of data intensive computing.
